About Brazzi

"Clothing is the single most effective form of sun protection.
It is our first line of defence against the sun’s harmful
ultraviolet rays."

The vast majority skin cancers are caused by solar UV radiation (UVR). UVR also causes up to 90 percent of the visible changes commonly attributed to aging, such as wrinkles, brown spots, and sagging skin. Fortunately, clothing can absorb or block much of this radiation. If you're particularly sensitive to the sun's damaging UV rays, then sun blocking fabrics can help protect your health.

Brazzi fabrics are tested to UPF 50
and above and block at least 98%
of the sun's UVA and UVB rays.

Brazzi Sun Bras regulate Body Temperature
Wickable material draws moisture away from the skin and accelerates evaporation. If you sweat under a jacket and it's cold outside, moisture near your skin may cause a drop in body temperature, which can lead to hypothermia. Excessive sweat can also cause dehydration. By keeping moisture away from the skin, wickable materials help the body maintain an appropriate temperature.

Brazzi breathable fabric
Wicking fabric is constructed to allow air movement between the fabric and your skin, allowing the skin to breathe and cool itself. The lightweight material doesn't weigh on your body like wool or cotton.

The exterior of wickable material is waterproof. The synthetic materials used to make the fabric do not absorb water, so it wicks away and beads off the fibres. Wickable fabric withstands the elements and acts as a barrier between your body and outside forces.

This term of wickablity is used quite often with performance stretch fabrics it is "The ability of a fibre or a fabric to disperse moisture and allow it to pass through to the surface of the fabric, so that evaporation can take place." The quicker the moisture can be dispersed over the fabric and the more surface area the fabric has, the better its ability to allow the moisture to evaporate off of the fabric. This is especially true for fabrics that contain spandex, as they expose more surface space when the fabric is stretched out.

Brazzi Sun Bra came about out of necessity.

I have always enjoyed the outdoors and as such have realised the need to protect my skin. Sun creams are messy, some discolour clothing, and all need constant reapplication to maintain protection. I then resorted to wearing a long sleeve tee shirt underneath my golf and tennis shirts, or whenever I was outdoors, to protect my arms. This was hot and cumbersome, so I tried the UPF sleeves. Some have elastic around the top, which constricts the top of the arms, and end up leaving a welt, others are made with an elasticised fabric which slips down with movement, making it not only uncomfortable, but ineffective in giving complete sun protection.
I adapted a sports bra, and attached sleeves. This is what I have been wearing for the past year. I wear it whenever I am going to be spending time outside - not only for sport. Whilst in the UK last month, I used it as an extra layer under my clothing, so it is versatile in any climate!
When we realised that there was nothing like it on the market, we perfected the fit of the bra and used a sleeve fabric tested to UPF 50. The ultraviolet protection factor of our sleeve fabric has been certified by independent laboratory tests. Brazzi Sun Bra Light was born.
We will be launching a Brazzi Sun Bra High Impact in the near future, as well as introducing colour and excitement to the brand.
Hopefully, you will include Brazzi Sun Bra in your everyday wear. It is comfortable and light, eliminating the need for double layers or suncream whilst giving full sun protection. Your Brazzi Sun Bra will protect you in all avenues of outdoor activities...
